A Sad Reminder
Today the total number of Coalition troops killed in Iraq reached 1,002.
For whatever reason, we get hung up on round numbers as if the 1,001st death is more significent than the 999th. Each and every death is important and deserves more attention, care, love and thanks than we could possibly give.
I think we should all take this occassion to reflect on what our men and women in the Armed Forces sacrifice so that we can attend baseball games, walk in the park on a beautiful summer's day and generally live lives of safety, security and freedom.
Care to give something back to those who fight for our freedom? Perhaps you might Adopt a Platoon.
