Marine Released And Safe
The Command Post reported at 8:46am that CNN has announced that Sami Hassoun is "free and safe".
Drudge has linked to a Guardian article on the same topic.
I guess time will reveal what really happened. For now I am just thankful that his young man has been secured and is safe.

Or may it was all just a big joke?
Update 2:
A few mintues ago Yahoo News posted a story indicating that Hassoun is at the U.S. Embassy in Beriut. I suppose we'll hear plenty more over the next few days.
